Travis Donlan - Owner/Electrician

Travis Donlan founded Donlan Electrical Pty Ltd in 2022 as a diversified electrical contracting business servicing the mining, commercial, and residential sectors. With nearly 20 years of industry experience, Travis has established a strong reputation in underground hard rock mining applications, specialising in mining substations and starter box manufacturing. His expertise also extends to development and production drill maintenance, raise bore drill rig rebuilds, trailing cable and submersible pump repairs, and a variety of project works, including high-voltage (HV) terminations and splicing up to 33kV, utilising Raychem steel wire armoured cabling systems. Building on his extensive technical background, Travis spent four years as regional operations and sales manager for a national mining contracting company. In this leadership role, he managed a team of over 70 personnel across labour hire, manufacturing, shutdowns, and project operations at multiple mine and tunnel sites throughout Australia.

His responsibilities included contract tendering and management, budgeting, P&L oversight, forecasting, employee management, recruitment, equipment supply, rostering, and providing engineering and design support for operational planning. Travis also has extensive experience in compliance auditing of underground hard rock mobile plant and infrastructure. In addition to his electrical trade certification and high voltage accreditation, Travis holds a diploma in business management, further strengthening his ability to combine technical expertise with strategic leadership and business acumen.

James Napier - Co-owner/Electrician

James started off his career and finished an apprenticeship in the residential industry and commercial dry fire. He then went into an air conditioning & refrigeration apprenticeship - whilst completing he gained many skills from great mentors in the areas of mechanical electrical, industrial refrigeration, solar, domestic and commercial air conditioning. Coming back to his first apprenticeship, he's completed level 2 ASP training and is currently undergoing solar + battery accreditation.

James joined Donlan Electrical in August of 2024 and became a co-owner along side Travis at the start of 2025. He brings air conditioning and refrigeration licences and experience to Donlan Electrical, while being the operations manager - he makes sure everything goes according to plan and runs smoothly. With a love for safety and efficiency, he cannot wait to lead the charge for the ISO Accreditation to show the dedication we have for our company and team.

Gloria Donlan - Accounts

Gloria studied shorthand, bookkeeping & typing at TAFE after leaving school. She then worked as a bookkeeper at a stock and station agency & as a debt recovery officer. She worked for 25 years in the finance department for local government (Debtors/Creditors/Payroll/Rates/ Debt Recovery/Customer Service). Owned her own business in Molong for 4.5 Years. And has done all the bookkeeping for her farm business for 48 Years. She has an associate diploma in business (Accounting & Credit Pass) and small business management certificate.

Gloria joined Donlan Electrical in March of 2025, managing accounts and payments - reconciliation and debt recovery.

Maddie Harrison - Admin/Marketing

Maddie joined in 2025 as the admin assistant and the business' marketer. She now runs all the social media - showcasing what Donlan electrical works on and completes. She is now about to start a certificate IV in marketing & communications at TAFE.

Mitch Burgess - Apprentice

Mitch joined Donlan Electrical in February of 2025. He is about to be fully qualified at the start of 2026, specialising in commercial and residential electrical. 

Nick Henry - Apprentice

Nick joined Donlan Electrical in October 2023, commencing his apprenticeship in November. Entering his 3rd year of his apprenticeship, he specialises in manufacturing and mining (jumbo pump starters & drill rigs) - and is qualified in test and tagging. 

Ben Cox - Apprentice

Ben joined Donlan Electrical late January of 2025 commencing his apprenticeship, and just about to finish his 1st year with us! He has prior experience and is qualified in Horticulturist specialising in sports turf management.
